There is nothing quite like enjoying a glass of sweet wine at the end of a meal: perhaps with cheese, perhaps with dessert or perhaps simply to enjoy by itself . Some even like it as an apéritif or to start a meal, so there is no shortage of reasons to enjoy a glass.
France is the biggest producer of a wide variety of sweet wine styles from the late harvested Gewürztraminer or Riesling from Alsace to the Muscats from the south of France, the great Sauternes wines from Bordeaux or to the sweet reds made from Grenache Noir in the far south.
