This indicator represents the body of the wine – “1” being the lightest like a Beaujolais and “5” being the most full-bodied like a wine from the Minervois.

The distinctive label on this elegant bottle says it all... "fat, deep, powerful, shining black fruit, blackcurrant, mulberry".  Madiran is different - it makes deep rich wines from the Tannat grape but Alain Brumont has created here a wine that has flavour whilst retaining elegance.  Particularly good with cheeses or rich meats.
