This indicator represents the body of the wine – “1” being the lightest like a Beaujolais and “5” being the most full-bodied like a wine from the Minervois.

Situated in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, at Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Domaine Faiveley has remained under family supervision since 1825. Their savoir-faire in the production of wines for longer-term keeping is incontestable and this Mercurey 1er cru « clos des Myglands » Côte Châlonnaise is a perfect example of that.  The Clos des Myglands is a "Monopole" that only the house of Faiveley can exploit.

The unique grape variety pinot noir is here brought up in oak casks bringing it rich fruity and slightly oaky aromas.   Yet the tannins are supple, the texture silky with a persistence in the mouth allowing it to be appreciated from now but with a keepig potential of around 8 years.   It will go perfectly with game or veal.
