The Estate / The House / The Cellar:

This sublime 1968 Armagnac reveals the art of living in Gascon country. It is distilled in copper stills by the Domaine du Mignon at Lagraulet du Gers and then aged in oak barrels for many years according to the experience of the cellar master, giving it the typical Armagnac character.

Scents, Colours and Flavours:

Resulting from the harvest of only one year, this Armagnac of exceptional class has a deep amber colour, some might say with shades of copper. Its ageing goes on until a few days before the bottling allowing it to enrich itself with further aromas until the very last moment. The aromatic complexity is remarkable: the wood combines with vanilla, spices, flowers and dried fruits with subtle sweet notes of cocoa. Its magnificent age gives it a wealth of flavours, both smooth and strong but all in good balance.

Ageing Time and Food & Wine Pairing:

This Armagnac’s qualities are at their peak and so it can be appreciated right now. Served as a digestive, it will express all the nuances of its aromas after being served a few minutes before the tasting. It would even be delicious with a rich chocolate dessert!
