Dry Wine
Sweet Wine

This indicator represents the perceived style from the driest to the sweetest.  Sometimes two wines can have the same quantity of residual sugar but taste differently according to the grape used.  “A” is the driest like a Muscadet and “E” the sweetest like a Sauternes.

The vineyards of Mas des Volques on the argilo-calcareous hillsides of the Gard in the west of the recently created Rhône appellation of Duché d’Uzès.  This barrel-fermented and aged wine, made from 50% Viognier, 30% Grenache blanc, 15% Roussanne and 5% Clairette, replaces the Domaine d’Antugnac which was of a similar style. The wine is deliciously fresh with fruity aromas – highly recommended as something a bit different.
